Formed in 1981 and one of Europe's finest Rock ‘n' Roll
bands, The Firebirds are Jim Plummer , Richie Lorriman and Jason
Bryant. With three first class Musicians / Vocalists The Firebirds
are able to cover the complete spectrum of 1950s' and 1960s' music,
from Commercial Rock ‘n' Roll Songs to Rockabilly, Harmonised
Doo Wop, Instrumentals, Ballads, and their Own Compositions.
Having backed some of the great American Singers of yesteryear
including Jerry Lee Lewis, Charlie Feathers, Charlie Gracie, Ray
Campi and Sleepy La Beefe to name but a few, the band has also
played alongside British greats such as Marti Wilde, Lonnie Donegan
and Showaddywaddy.
Following their transition from semi-professional to professional
in 1991, The Firebirds have gone from strength to strength. Having
been voted ‘Act of the month' by Club Mirror, they have
since played alongside household names such as Bob Monkhouse,
Tom O'Connor, and Freddie Starr.
During 1992 The Firebirds performed at the official opening
of the Euro Disney Theme Park in Paris.
The Firebirds have undertaken extensive tours both in Britain
and abroad. At home they have had very successful Summer Seasons
performing at Holiday Venues, nightclubs and Military Establishments
etc. The foreign tours included Belgium, Germany, Switzerland,
Holland, France, Italy, Denmark and Spain, and entertained passengers
on two Mediterranean Cruises.
Following their sell out tour of Denmark , The Firebirds were
asked to top the bill at the Messan Music Festival in the former
Yugoslavian capital of Belgrade. The band was also booked by the
Trident Recording Studio's in London to record the sound track
for a ‘Learn to Jive Video', which is now being marketed
worldwide.
Their three latest albums, recorded on the Rockville label,
‘The Firebirds Live' with selected tracks recorded from
live performances across the world and… ‘Rock and
Roll Special' recorded with Linda Gail Lewis, the younger sister
of the great Jerry Lee Lewis, have further boosted sales figures
of The Firebirds CD's, videos and albums throughout the UK, Europe
and as far afield as Japan, America, Russia and the Far East.
During May 2000 The Firebirds made their first visit to the
USA playing venues in Memphis and Las Vegas. The Firebirds were
honoured to be the only non American band to be invited to play
the Rockabilly Festival 2002 at the Carl Perkins Civic Centre
in Jackson, Tennessee; this huge event marked the 50th Birthday
of the Sun Record label and the 25th Anniversary of the death
of Elvis.
More recently The Firebirds have played the Paris Music Festival
and Corporate functions in both Rome and Denmark. At home, corporate
events amongst others saw The Firebirds entertaining guests for
the Priory Group and the David Lloyd Leisure Company. The latest
album Dance Girl Dance was recorded in their recently built recording
studio, where their new Doo Wop album is now nearing completion.

The Story of Tribute To Nothing began sometime
in the mid ‘80s. Inspired by everything that makes a sound,
six year old, Ben Turner discovered his mums household pots and
pans and started begging his parents for a drum kit. Four long years
later his desire was finally fulfilled. Shortly after, his two brothers
Jim (Bass) and Sam (Guitar) followed his passion and proved to be
highly talented kids at the early ages of 12 & 14.
As early as their second show the band played in front of a couple
of hundred people, among them an EMI promotions manager. Even
though they hadn’t yet found their own sound the band’s
energy and passion for music secured them a support show with
‘90s chart toppers Ned’s Atomic Dustbin. Shortly afterwards
the band found themselves in the Birmingham BBC studios recording
their first real demo. The band then found themselves signing
an album deal with Go Disc (a division of Polygram) whilst guitarist
Sam was still only 13 years old.
After a very short period of time Tribute To Nothing developed
into a true and honest post-hardcore band. The success continued
as magazines got interested in the band, title pages were offered,
the band played TV shows and even the legendary John Peel invited
them to record an hour long session for his show.
After only a handful of singles the band decided to leave the
major industry behind, frustrated by the impersonal handling of
the band and the continued emphasis on money before music. Tribute
To Nothing then founded their own label - Lockjaw Records
to regain total control of their musical direction.
The beginning of 2003 saw Tribute To Nothing's
fourth studio album emerge. It was the first record supported
by their brand new band member Kris Stammer, an old school-friend
of the band. His unique approach and style of playing guitar complemented
the bands complex post-hardcore sound perfectly. 'Act Without
Words' was also the first release in the bands history that gained
European attention. The band found a new loyal following in Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. Spain and the Benelux were next in line
to embrace the band and add to their ever-growing European support.
The year 2003 also marked the beginning of a mammoth European
Tour which has led the band all over the continent and seen them
play more than 250 shows in the past 2 years.
The band have now signed with Berlin based Destiny Records, instead
of going back to better-endowed deals in major business and six
months after their last tour the band is embarking again on another
year of touring, to promote the new album, 'How
Many Times Did We Live?' . In March the whole European
BSF-tour is the first of the year before the band hit the road
again, playing constantly the following month. The lads will be
doing what they do best …playing live and trusting the life
that they know.

Founded
by Laurent Mouflier (harp) and Pablo Villuendas (guitar) in 2004,
in London, The SoulKitchen as a blues-funk quintet was joined by
Suleyman Osman (vocals), David Hadley (bass) and Mathis Richet (drums)
that same year, and began touring around the UK. Their idea to merge
traditional roots with modern ideas to create a different sound,
results in a new approach, a more innovative way of playing the
blues, influenced by a new generation of artists such as Kenny Neal,
Scott Henderson, or Robben Ford. Each member's individual background
and international roots are the right ingredients for this band
to make it one of the most dynamic and exciting modern blues-funk
outfits around.
"The SoulKitchen is something different.
An incredibly talented Blues Band, a must see live act..."
