The Lab.gruppen FP+ Series was designed and engineered to achieve unprecedented channel and power density, optimized for low impedance applications. FP+ amplifiers allow you to configure racks of any size for any mobile reinforcement need, using fewer, smaller, and lighter amplifiers. A very few compact racks – each easily manoeuvred by a single person – can now power an arena-sized system with headroom to spare.

Each FP+ amplifier is 2U high and weighs a mere 12kg, Yet each produces nearly twice the clean, sustained output power of equivalent predecessor fP Series models.

To achieve this extreme channel density and power-to-size ratio, Lab.gruppen engineers refined and upgraded two proprietary technologies: the regulated switch-mode power supply (R.SMPS™) and the patented Class TD output stage. Both are incorporated in all four FP+ Series amplifiers. Working together, this new generation of proprietary circuits produces more power from a smaller package while at the same time maintaining the peerless reputation for sonic excellence. The highs stay crisp and transparent, the mids are warm and natural, and the tight low end delivers visceral impact. Audiences, performers, and (most importantly) concert promoters find the results well worth repeating in the future.

A bridgeable two-channel amplifier still makes perfect sense when you need maximum power reserves from one chassis – as when powering hungry subwoofers. The FP+ Series fills the bill here with the FP 7000 and the awe-inspiring FP 13000.

However, when it comes to powering multiple mid- and high-frequency drivers (in line arrays or a score of stage monitors), four channel amplifiers simply make more sense. You have more discrete channels for more flexibility, yet both space and weight are drastically reduced. The FP+ Series meets this need with two ultra-high-power four-channel models: FP 10000Q and the FP 6000Q.

FP 10000Q

The FP 10000Q is designed to meet the demanding requirements of any sound reinforcement system - including modern line array designs - with more than ample undistorted power and headroom to create a remarkable listening experience. With the FP 10000Q it is possible to run boxes in parallel down to 2 ohms and still have plenty of headroom. And of course the same applies to the FP 6000Q for medium sized line arrays.

By stocking your racks with higher-power two-channel and four-channel FP+ amplifiers, your total amplifier count often can be cut in half – or better – with headroom to spare when compared to equivalent configurations with other amplifiers. A few small racks with a total amplifier weight of well under 100 kg can supply ample power for one side of an arena-sized system. When you factor in the size and weight reductions for both sides, the savings in labour and truck space become worthy of serious consideration.

Another noteworthy benefit is the cost savings on initial investment. The extraordinary power density of the FP+ Series was achieved by advanced design and diligent engineering. Although some internal components of the FP+ Series are indeed more costly, the actual component count is substantially less than many lower-power amplifiers. That translates into greater cost-efficiency in production, a bonus that is passed along the end-user.

With Lab.gruppen’s FP+ Series, you get more power per pound or kilogram AND more power per pound, dollar, euro or yen.
